Gold Rush Weekend 2022 - Camping Registration Form Copy

The University of North Georgia has approved RVs and tent campers to be on-site at Pine Valley Friday through Sunday of Gold Rush Weekend, October 14 - 16, 2022. The property isn’t regularly open for RVs or tent campers.

Guidelines for use:

Campers must not interfere with the Class Reunion scheduled at the Pavilion on Saturday.

All those wishing to bring their RV or to tent camp during Gold Rush Weekend are must pre-register below and sign a liability waiver upon arrival.

All RV’s or pull-behind campers will be limited to positioning on hard surface only. Space is limited to the first 15 RV’s. There is no limit on tents. NOTE: If the ground is wet or rain is forecast, RV’s must remain on asphalt.

Parking of RVs will be limited to the pine groves - outside the Dean Mike Hyams Ropes Course. Other than service or delivery vehicles, no vehicles are allowed at all on the activity field.

Pitching tents is authorized in any of the area of Pine Valley, to include the activity field, except adjacent to the Pavilion (due to Class Reunions).

Campers will have access to the new cooking pavilion, which was partially funded by alumni donations. The facility provides: two XL Green Eggs, refrigerator, food warmer, oven, microwave oven, coffee maker, ice maker, and assorted cooking utensils. The area must be cleaned after use.

Open fires, except for fires in portable fire pits, in the pavilion fireplace (after class reunions), or on the sand by the river, are prohibited. BBQ grills are permitted but the coals/ash are to be taken off the premises as opposed to being discarded onsite. Campers must provide their own firewood.

Dogs need to be leashed at all times, and owners must use pick-up bags for pet waste.

No power, water, or septic hookups are available.

No showers are available at Pine Valley, however, locker rooms in Memorial Hall Gym will be available, on a limited basis, through coordination with Alumni Relations staff.

Camp site must be left clean, and trash placed in the dumpster.
