Study Away Academy Application

The Study Away Academy is a workshop series during the spring term to assist faculty in the development of a new faculty-led Study Away Program at UNG.

CGE staff will conduct three 75-minute workshops over the spring term. Faculty who successfully complete the Study Away Academy will receive up to $500 to conduct a site visit to assist them with finalizing a faculty-led study away program. Program participants commit to submitting a site visit report and a completed study away program proposal for summer 2023 by September 1, 2022.

Participants must have the support of their department head and dean for the development of the new program. If more than one faculty from the same department applies, CGE will consult with the department/dean on a final candidate.

Site visit funding is contingent upon state budget funding and COVID-19 travel restrictions; spaces are limited. All workshops will take place virtually from 12-1:15pm.
